11.09.11 : So here we are again, the BIG derby game of the season

Much hype this time brought in by the new coach Pierre betting everything he had (including his hair) on the fact that Servette would win this game.
At the start of the game everything happened just as normal, defence playing the ball fast around the back, midfield moving well with the attackers and pressing everything that moves. From all this hard work a few chances came from good passing and link play from the players but just could not put the ball in the net. Then… some good work from Thibault resulted in a foul from the Black-Boys defence and a penalty awarded. Matt stepped up to repeat his performance from last week but a great save from the goalie resulted in no goal, still 0-0. Without even ten minutes passing by good work from Stewart resulted in another Penalty. This time Gareth McKeown stepped up and “BIM”, top left corner, 1-0.
This then seemed to wake up the other team and some good slick passing allowed a penalty corner against Servette. Jean-Marc calmly put the ball low and hard into the servette goal “POW”, 1-1.
Things then got a little quiet from both sides, lots of fouls nothing much being created, a typical derby some might say but then a cutting pass from Dimitri finds Julien unmarked at the top of the circle. He lets a reverse stick shot fly and again Servette have found a goal 2-1.
Half time came and went, Pierre said his pieces and here we go again. Second half started just like most of the first, lots of stop, start hockey without much being created and then some good work from Gareth McKeown attacking the Black goal, good save from the keeper but the rebound fell straight to Julien who again scores with a perfectly executed reverse stick goal “BANG”, 3-1. The last 10minutes of the game produced three yellow cards for Servette, which created lots of space and pressure on the defensive side of the Servette game. Almost holding on for a 3-1 finish but then Black scored from the final short corner of the game, final score “KAPAOW”, 3-2.
