13.05.07 : Luzerner SC – Servette HC

Part I- in English

After another long 3 hours in the train, Servette had to play against the second best team in the league, Lucerne. Servette’s objectives were to play very possession and a high tempo game whilst showing the Swiss hockey league that the Swiss French can also play hockey at a high level. The Geneva team started intense, physical and confident by playing a good game of hockey.

The game was especially played in the mid-field with hard tackles and turnovers making the game certainly not boring (as David would say “it’s Philou’s game”). The high tempo play and the hot weather made the game fun to watch for the only Servette supporter Phillipe’s Uncle. Servette had many corners and several attempts in the circle but were unfortunate to get a goal against in the 15th minute by badly shot short corner by the greens. Nevertheless, Servette continued playing its high-class hockey by dominating the game through the rest of the half.

Part II- en français

Après un repos de 15 minutes,  les joueurs de Servette on repris le match plus confiants. Servette dominant le match n’arrivait toujours pas à mettre la balle au fond du but. Un jeune joueur, Boubou, jouant son premier match avec la première ayant une des plus dangereuse action du match après une belle passe de Jeroen situer au tête de cercle Boubou loupe l’action en revers qui passe à quelques mètres du but adverse.

Ayant presque dominer toute la deuxième mi-temps, les servettiens n’ont toujours pas réussi à marquer le but d’égalisation, ce qui les ont énervés. Alors quelques joueurs se sont énervés tel que Jeroen ce qui lui a coûter un carton jaune.

Malgré les efforts lors de la deuxième période, le score n’a pas changer et cela ont déçu les joueurs.
