14.10.13 : Servette qualified for Swiss Cup semi-finals
Under a beautiful fall sky met SHC in Basle’s Rankhof the team of BHC. After the previous game BHC-Ladies successfully played against Lucerne, spectators and players of the men’s teams stepped highly motivated in the game against a SHC.
Right at the beginning, SHC could take the game in hand and showed with some beautiful but unfortunately unsuccessful actions that they were willing to remain in the Swiss Cup. SHC was impressed how Basle’s NLB team resisted and was surprised about some good rushes and the compact defence-work in the early stages of the first half. SHC has been improved continuously, found his game and subsequently went 1:0 into the break.
At the beginning of the second part, SHC managed to make the game fast. Good individual actions but also beautiful combinations and a compact team performance quickly led to 4:0. Unfortunately left a miserable deflected short corner the goalkeeper no chance and Basle made the deserved goal for the final score of 4:1.
The team is now looking with great interest to the draw for the semi-finals, which will take place at the general assembly of Swiss Hockey on November 16th between LSC, RWW, HCO and SHC.

Servette im Halbfinal
Bei wunderschönem Herbstwetter traf SHC im Rankhof auf die Basler. Nachdem im vorausgegangenen NLA-Spiel die BHC Damen gegen Luzern gewonnen hatten stiegen Zuschauer und Spieler des Herrenteams hochmotiviert in das Spiel gegen SHC ein.
Bereits zu Beginn konnte SHC das Spiel in die Hand nehmen und zeigte mit einigen schönen aber leider erfolglosen Aktionen, dass man gewillt war weiter im Cup zu bleiben. Überrascht war man vom Gegner aus der NLB dem einige gute Vorstösse gelangen und dessen Verteidigung in der Anfangsphase gut mitspielte. SHC konnte sich kontinuierlich steigern und ging in der Folge mit 1:0 in die Pause.
Zu Beginn des zweiten Spielabschnittes legte SHC zu und es gelang das Spiel schnell zu machen. Gute Einzelaktionen aber auch wunderschöne Kombinationen und eine kompakte Mannschaftsleistung führten schnell zum 4:0. Leider liess eine unglücklich abgelenkte kurze Ecke dem Torhüter keine Chance und Basel holte sich den verdienten Treffer zum Endstand von 4:1.
Spannend wird nun auf die Auslosung der Halbfinal Partien gewartet, welche anlässlich der Swiss Hockey GV vom 16. November unter SHC, LSC, HCO und RWW ermittelt wird.
