17.04.16 : Played 100% and really fought on the field

Arriving at Stade de Richemont on a Sunday, where it was raining hard and very windy. The Servette team were motivating themselves and each other to get ready to play their match against our opponents Rotweiss Wettingen.
Although the results were not the ones we desired the team still managed to stay strong and play an excellent match. The beginning of the match was going extremely well, the defenders were tough, and there were many attempts to try and get the ball to the other side of the pitch. Rotweiss managed to get a few corners, however, Servette played hard by defending the circle making sure these balls would not go into the goal.
As the second half came many girls were tired from running in the cold and rain, Rotweiss seized the opportunity and managed to score two unfortunate goals. The girls feeling slightly annoyed pushed themselves to make sure no more goals would be allowed in. The rest of the match continued with strong defence and making sure Rotweiss didn’t have possession of the ball. With one minute left of the match Servette was expecting to finish with the defeat of 0-2 but somehow Rotweiss managed to score in the last 40 seconds, ending the match with 0-3.
Even with the score being 0-3 the girls didn’t feel disappointed with themselves because they know they played 100% and really fought on the field. They then thanked the spectators who came to watch and also Benoît who came to coach.
